OLD PROS WILL join with young performers in one of the most unusual televison musical-variety specials of the season.
It's the hour long "Go! ! !" show on ABC Sunday night.
Designed to be modern to most viewers and mod to some, the producers hope it will be fun for all.
The taped show will star such veterans as Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, John Cameron Swayze and Rudy Vallee, and such youngsters as Herman's Hermits, Ryan O'Neal, Noel Harrison and Donna Douglas.
    Among the features will be:
A paper clothing fashion show, an exhibit of fantastically painted autos, a dune buggy ballet, a tandem motorcycle built for two, with a TV set in the rear; a kissing computer and a surfing sequence.
Abigail "Dear Abby" Van Buren will help to bridge the age gap for the performers by examining the
problems of teenagers as seen through the experience of both the young and the mature.
O'Neal, the host, and Harrison will sing a duet. Miss Douglas will be a guide for some of the goings-on.
Herman (Peter Noone) will give a young Englishman's examination of youthful American fashions, and lead his group through a musical tour of Southern California.
Vallee will do a "follow-the-bouncing-ball" number and show that the trend in tunes today is as relevant to the megaphone as "Boola Boola" is to Yale.
Swayze will put down his watch long enough to - you're not going to believe this! - turn comic commentator.
Anderson, long known as Jack Benny's "Rochester," will do a comedy sketch.
Also featured will be the David Winters Dancers and the music of the Buffalo Springfield, the Swingin' Six, and Brian Hyland and The Jokers.
