These boys have "feathered" a cozy little nest.
And right now, they want to pack up and fly there!
Do you care to come along?

Special! Here are the details of a secret place!
The Hermits head for this haven when they want to "get-away-from-it- all!"

MOST PEOPLE have a special place where they go to be alone. Maybe yours is simply a quiet corner of your bedroom or a big chair in the living room. The point is that it's your special place.. the place you go to relax, think and dream!
Herman's Hermits have such a place, too! When they finish with a tour, with an album-recording session. a hurry-up concert or anything else really tiresome they pack up and head for a hidden hideout - in Liverpool !
Why Liverpool, of all places . . the home of The Beatles and many other groups? Herman explained -"The fact that Liverpool's the original home of so many singers is the reason we picked it! After all, who would think to look for us there? If fans go to look for their favorite guys, they go to places far away from their original homes - not in a city like Liverpool! We're right under the fans' noses - and that's why the hide-out is so hidden!"
We can't tell you the exact address because it wouldn't be hidden anymore if we did. The boys were nice enough to let us even mention that it exists! But we can tell you a little about what it's like - Herm told us, "My home is really 'ducky.' It's just the kind of place you can relax in . . . big, quiet and homey! And since my own family lives there and sort-of keeps the old home-fires burning while I'm gone, it's even more homey! But still, the place is mine! And that's a great feeling!"
When The Hermits "invade" their hide-out things inside the house change. The boys really "take over" and live like kings! Herman smiled and said, "The only 'rule' we
have is to keep it a little quiet during my sister's nap-time. She's only a year-and-a-half, so she does need her rest! But other than that, we're free to do as we please for as long as we stay!"
Unfortunately, The Hermits can't stay too long. They're usually off on another tour before they know it! But while they're hidden in their hide-out, they take advantage of the seclusion!
Herman said, "We always like to get in as much practice as we can. So we 'barricade' ourselves in one room of the house and let loose." He smiled and then continued, "Actually, our particular sound isn't too loud, so we don't have much to worry about. At least we haven't had any complaints from the neighbors yet!"
When the boys aren't practicing, they're often just sitting around and taking life easy.
Keith told us, "Herm's Mom's a great cook! I wouldn't mind staying with her all the time!"
Between meals (and when they're not resting or rehearsing), the boys like to dig into their ever-growing pile of souvenirs, collected from their various trips around the world. (Mrs. Noone keeps them in a trunk.)
Herman told us, "We get a kick out of keeping clippings from newspapers and magazines and pasting them in our scrapbook! We've got quite a collection and in many different languages, too! Pity we can't. understand all of them, but we're satisfied just having them."
And we're satisfied, too. So we're going to leave Herman and his Hermits alone in their hide-out. 'Cause after all, that's what they're there for, isn't it?
