HERMITS INVADE HOLLYWOOD!
NEWS AND NOTES:
Wonder why every film starring a rock and roll group under goes a confusing series of title changes? It happened with the Beatles, the DC5and now it's happened with Herman's Hermits. Their "Girl Crazy"has been changed to "Where The Boys Meet The Girls." A better title, I think, but sounds an awful lot like another Connie Francis flick called "Where The Boys
Are."
MORE OF HERMAN:
Forgot to mention that Hermanand his Hermits have been signed to do another film for M-G-M. It's titled (so far, if you know what I mean) "There's No Place Like Space" and shooting
begins in just a few days. Looks like Herman is going to surprise a lot of doubting Thomases
and become quite a show business legend (at the age of seventeen, yet). Many people felt
Herman's group would come on strong and then fade because of the novelty-slant of their
recordings. Novelties do have a habit of burning themselves out, but Herman seems to have
kicked it. He's quite the actor, as you'll soon have the good fortune to see for yourselves.
