The Hermits - Honeymoon Plans!

HONEYMOON time is a very special time! The Hermits know this, and they've given a great deal of thought to where they would like to go on their own honeymoons! Of course, all the Hermits (except for Karl Green) are bachelors, so bear in mind that their honeymoon plans are only dreams for now. After all, their future wives might have very different ideas in mind!
As for Karl, he's going to tell about his own honeymoon. So read on for lovey-dovey data!!!

PETER BLAIR NOONE (HERMAN)

Herman thinks he might like to honeymoon in Hawaii! And he has some very definite ideas on why he chose it.
"First of all," Herm explained, "I know I'd want to take my bride-to-be someplace where we could get away from it all. You see, I have a lot of business interests all over the world, not including Hawaii, and I want to go far away from them when I first get married. I don't want to think about music, movies or stocks and bonds. I just want to be alone with my wife!"
"Also," Herm continued, "I've never been to Hawaii and would very much like to go there - especially on a honeymoon! I've heard that it's very beautiful and terribly romantic. And who could ask more of a honeymoon spot? For all I know, my wife and I might just decide to become 'surf-bums,' and never return!"
Of course, Herm's only kidding about staying....but it would be a nice trip, anyway!

DEREK (LEK) LECKENBY

Lek's the most travel-minded of The Hermits. In fact, he stated his personal ambition as "to travel widely!" So, when Lek had to think of a place he'd like to go on a honeymoon - it didn't take him very long! Lek's choice is a 'round-the-world trip!
"You see," said Lek, "I just know that I'd never make my mind up on one place I'd like to go to. There are just so many great places that I've never been to, and would really like to see. The only possible solution is to go everywhere!
"All that traveling might not sound very romantic to you," he went on. "But it could be! After all, any kind of a honeymoon could be romantic if two people are in love! And I can't think of anything more beautiful than sharing a wonderful trip with the future Mrs. Leckenby!"

BARRY WHITWAM

The out-doorsman and adventureman of the group is Barry. And when it comes to a honeymoon he has exciting plans!
"I really have two honeymoon choices, and I can't quite make up my mind which sounds more adventurous," Barry told us. "I guess I have some time yet to make up my mind, so I'll just tell you both.
"Choice No. 1 is a picture-taking safari to Africa! Doesn't that sound fantastic?" Barry asked us, "And, just think of all the wild pictures we'd have to remember our honeymoon!"
"My second choice would be taking a trip to Alaska. It even might be fun to live in an igloo! Do you think the eskimos would rent out an igloo to a nice honeymooning couple?"

KEITH HOPWOOD

Hermit Keith doesn't want to go all that far away on his honeymoon. In fact, the spot he's picked is right next door to his native England!
"Paris," said Keith, "is definitely the place to go on a honeymoon. After all, it's the city of lovers!"
I can already," Keith continued, "see myself walking down the Champs Elysee with my bride - hand in hand. And we could walk back and forth across the bridges on the Seine and then we could get terribly, terribly lost in Paris. Of course, the only time to get lost is when it's raining! So we'd have to pick the right day - it's such a romantic thing to do!"

KARL GREEN

When Hermit Karl Green speaks of honeymoons, it's not just dream talk. Karl has the honor of being the only married Hermit, and he's almost a newlywed at that! It was just about six months ago that Karl married his pretty, seventeen-year-old girlfriend of two years - Jill Davies!
"I can't tell you where we went on our honeymoon," Karl told us, "cause Jill and I have agreed to keep it our special secret! But, I can tell you that it was the happiest time of my whole life.
"Actually, it wouldn't have mattered to us where we went. The important thing was that we were off somewhere by ourselves! Everyday we spend together is like a honeymoon!"
And that's exactly the way it should be!
