What's it like to be 19 and a millionaire? Well, from the expression on Peter Noone's face, we'd say it must be a pretty smashing experience. Fame has certainly helped Peter bring back his identity - for a long time he was known only as "Herman" of Herman's Hermits. But now, everybody knows him by his rightful name. He's grateful to all of his fans for his own success and that of his group. As for the money - it hasn't spoiled him one bit. And Peter isn't about to let that happen, now or in the future. He's worked a long time in show business by way of a British soap opera when he was just a "tot." He grew up with acting - and didn't turn singer until only a few years ago. Now with movie and TV credits as an actor, Peter is getting more and more offers to "go it alone." Whether or not he will leave the Hermits is a decision that he alone must make. But he wants you to know that those rumors about the group splitting up are not true. Peter wants the group to stay together - perhaps do an occasional acting stint on his own. "Everything's going great for us," he says, "it would be foolish to break up. Besides all the money in the world couldn't buy our kind of friendship." |
