If you think you've heard puh-lenty before - Stop! We bring you an exclusive report ... straight from Herman's heart. So settle back, get comfortable, and discover what "gal gossip" he has to offer!!
CALLING all Herman lovers - get out your smelling salts and the emergency stretcher, 'cause you're about to read a real "shocker" of a story! Herm has some amazing "girl" confessions to surprise you ... and FOR TEENS ONLY brings them ... RUSH ... to YOU! Now - you'll learn about all the gals who, at one time or another, have won him for their very own. Well, seems his first grade teacher decided to give out cute little prizes at the end of the year. Herm and a freckle-faced girl in his class won two huge and shiny apples for having the biggest and "grinniest" smiles! (And we do know about Herman's smile!) "I gave the girl my apple," Herm confided in us. "And then I asked her if she'd like to get married!" It seemed like the thing to do after both of us had won the prize 'n all." Unfortunately, the girl didn't feel like marrying Herman right then and there. So Herm remained a bachelor - minus his apple prize! (Wonder how that girl would feel about a proposal now?!?) "It's really amazing," Herm told us, "But somehow or other, that woman meant something important to me. She was kinda like my mother because of the way she'd protect me. And as time passed, I found myself loving her in a very special way." Herm showed his feelings for her in the unique things that he did. Besides trying to be an ideal pupil, he brought home her groceries and gave her presents of strawberry jam. (Don't let anyone say that chivalry has died!!) But the one thing that really makes a teacher feel good is to see an old student come back to visit year after year. And that's exactly what Herman did, each time with a carefully thought-out present. We bet he still drops in to say hello - even now that he's so famous and so very busy! Which just goes to show that Herm never forgets a friend - NEVER! Herm and the guys had just given a huge concert. They were very tired, limp, in fact, and in a "not-watching-where-they-were-going" mood. Suddenly, an excited fan grabbed hold of Herm's shirt (and his favorite shirt, at that) and just wouldn't let go. Herm didn't have the energy to run away. But after one look at her, he wasn't so sure he wanted to. Herm explained, "She had jet black hair, long and flowing down to her waist. Her eyes were the kind that go right through you - just beautiful. I really flipped and decided to let her join us for the evening!" And that she did! Herm took her out to eat and discovered his young "princess" was from India. Her trip to England had been enjoyable up to then, but WOW, now it was magnificent! Herm told us, "I liked her "mysterious" ways. I mean, she was excited, but in a quiet way. She was different from other fans I'd met - very different! And I found myself getting more and more curious to see what she was really like!" He did, too. Because they spent the rest of the evening together! "It was one of the nicest evenings I ever |

But that girl never will forget the few short hours she "had" Herm. And from the way Herm remembers her, we're willing to bet he won't, either! And to us, her description sounded like she was quite the ideal gal! She had long, blonde hair and a good sense of humor. She was honest and cheerful and very good company - especially when Herm was feeling a bit "down in the dumps." Her home-cooking was fabulous, too. She and Herm used to have the greatest amount of fun putting together the ENTIRE evening meal. Herm said, "I'm not usually too good at domestic things. But with her, I was suddenly a reall "home-body!" One of their favorite hobbies was to walk along the streets together, holding hands or watching the other people. Sometimes they'd spend a whole day in the park, sitting on benches or on the grass - just talking. Herman would bring his camera and take pictures. So even today, he can pull them out of hiding - and remember that girl. Happy memories they are, too! One little girl he especially loves is his sister Suzanne. He's fed her and always goes out of his way to play with her when he's home. "Sometimes I even turn down invitations to parties and things," he admitted, "just so I can baby-sit for her." Just a few months ago, another little sister, Louise, came into Herman's heart. She's a very lucky girl, although she may not know it yet. She's bound to receive the same "VIP" treatment as all the other special gals who, in one way or another, have "had" Herman! And that certainly can't be bad! ![]() |
