HERMAN'S HERMITS ANSWER
7
IMPORTANT QUESTIONS!

Our exclusive series with Herman's Hermits continues, as FLIP's Editor Steve Kahn asks Lek the seven most important questions which you wanted the answers to. Karl answered last month, Barry will be up next issue (on sale July 12th), and Keith and Peter are standing in the wings waiting to share their private thoughts with you! Each of them spent a lot of time thinking about the questions, determined to give as much of themselves to you as possible. Pete Kaplan's very special photos capture some of that marvelous mood. And before this original series is over, you will get to know Herman's Hermits better than you ever dreamed possible!

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR KIND OF GIRL?
-"I like all girls, but I particularly enjoy small, dark-haired ones. I would hope that they would be pretty quiet and sensible . . . not just the type who only giggle and laugh."
WHAT SHAPE DOES LOVE TAKE FOR YOU?
-"I don't really know because I've never been in love. I suppose it's when you always get on with each other. I imagine understanding each other is the main part of it."
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR HAPPIEST MOMENT AS A HERMIT?
WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO YOUR FAMILY?
"It's mostly changed because I don't see them much. But now when we get together I'm very glad to see them. And vice versa."
WHAT DOES YOUR OWN ROOM LOOK LIKE?
-"It's a very little room, about as big as a bathroom. It's got a bed in it, and that's it. Well,it's got a pile of boxes on the floor. And a few gold records up on the wall, too."
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR GROUP MATES?
-"In a word, Peter is unpredictable . . . Barry is harmless .Keith is drowsy and quiet . . . and Karl is uncomplicated."
HOW DOES THE FUTURE LOOK TO YOU?
-"I think we've still got a couple of years left. And, best of all, I dig what I'm doing."

While waiting for the Hermits to answer, Peter took time out to play a happy game
of "Knuckles" with his American road manager (and FLIP columnist) Bob Levine.
