LATELY we've been mini-ing around, always heading North from smokey old London. It's been a ball. All points North are really jumping and it seems jolly dull being back.
    In Manchester, where Herman was our guide (see all about it on page 13) we found that he's the boy with all the luck. He just is lucky. Once he had only 2s. in his pocket and it was his granfather's birthday. So he went to the fair and won a pipe - just right for a seventy-fifth birthday present.
    He's won on the Premium Bonds, too. But Herman says, "You only win with something once. If you've won, don't try your luck again." He keeps to that.
