However, when he's not on the move, Pete spends the majority of his time at a house he's rented in the wilds of Kent, and since moving in I hear he's made a lot of friends among the local folk.     The house is surrounded by acres of woodland and one of Herman's mates suggested that they should join forces and go on a little shooting expedition.     So, off went Herman to purchase a new 12-bore shotgun, plus license, of course, and the next morning he was up at the crack of dawn ready for the trip.     I reckon that must be an all-time record for any pop star.     Into the woods they wandered, and after going about a mile the local suddenly turned to Herman and said, "Ere mate, there be a bird on that there tree, see if you can bring him down."     "Do what?" said Herman, looking rather surprised.     "That bird - you'll have to be quick, else 'ell be a-going."     "I'm not shooting any bird," says our Herman.     Well, I don't need to tell you any more, do I folks? Mind you, I can tell you of a young man who's busy trying to sell an almost new 12 bore shotgun!     And, good for him.
